The Collective of the Retconning Crocodiles owned a literal red herring which could be used as a distraction. For example, during the race for the Frost King's treasure in the mountains of Manik, they left it behind for Alistair Neezley, Tpxszum and Frederick to find; they initially perceived it as a map claiming that they had been going in the wrong direction and the treasure was on another mountain altogether. 21-419, however, could see past the illusion and allowed them to see the herring for what it was as well. (PROSE: The Frost King's Treasure)
