The Crew of the Copper-Colored Cupids' Department of Problem-Solving collectively owned a Fog Ship for use on missions, until it was stolen by the New Wellsian Empire who adapted it for their own use.

History

Theft

After they were unearthed in the 97th Cosmos from the ruined Tripod buried beneath Morningstar 1, the seven surviving Wellsians learned through telepathy of the Fog Ships possessed by the Crew of the Copper-Colored Cupids. However, they also realised that the three Fog Ships kept in Morningstar were locked so that they could only be used with Governor-105's permission. Thus, they sent a psychic S.O.S. to the Cupid Homeworld to call in reinforcements, who they hoped would come aboard unlocked Ships. With the Cupid Parliament deciding to send in the Department of Problem-Solving, this came in the form of their Department Fog Ship, which they left parked some way off from the Base. “Due to a spring that they really should have gotten the Department of Transportation to take a look at long ago”, Edwin-750 was unable to close the hatch properly, let alone lock it, as the Cupids journeyed to the base. This easily allowed the five surviving Wellsians who made it out of Morningstar alive to steal the Ship. (PROSE: The Resurrection of the Wellsians)

Wandering

The newly-interdimensional Wellsians first ended up at the Interdimensional Tavern, and, from there, at the Interdimensional Black Market (PROSE: The Grand Multiverse Hotel) where one of them bid on Tracker-764 at the Queen of the Black Market's auction, unsuccessfully. (PROSE: Misadventures in the Interdimensional Black Market) Their leader, the Strategist Earl Radluhac ag-Wampyr, sent the Viscount Forga sog-Forgos to Hilbert's to acquire a new planet, and, after that mission's success, the Wellsians settled on the planet Thrash, which they renamed “New Wellsia”. (PROSE: The Grand Multiverse Hotel)

Later history

Over time, the Wellsians modified the Ship to adapt it to their own use, affixing a Heat Ray to it. Only Skollops ag-Warka, considered an “ace pilot”, fully mastered the flying of it. (PROSE: The Frost King's Treasure) By the time the Wellsians had settled on New Wellsia, it had a hangar to itself and was kept in “pristine condition” by “dedicated goblin slaves”. After making a deal with Pythagoras-858, Skollops used his Ship's ability to read dimensional signatures to tell them where the Clown Emperor had gone. (PROSE: The Time of the Toymaker)
