The Nommo showing the Logos to Jenny Everywhere. (COMIC: Say The Word)

The Logos was a form of living information, which could take the form of a physical, visible “alphabet slime” or be more abstract.

In one universe, the natives of the Sirius star system converted the secret of Enlightenment into the Logos, which they then tried to beam at humanity. The beam reached Philip K. Dick, who became mentally ill before he could pass on what he had learned.

Some decades later, the Nommo was thus sent to Earth in replacement, with the Logos in his mind (which he could pour out from his third eye). After he encountered Jenny Everywhere, who briefly exposed herself to the pure Logos, the two hatched an elaborate game-plan to have the Nommo smuggle the Logos piecemeal into the minds of millions by concealing parts of it in various works of art. (COMIC: Say The Word)

A “lava lamp full of blue-green glowing slime, with assorted alphabetic symbols floating inside” was one of the items accumulated in the closet of one incarnation of Jenny Everywhere's apartment. When she and Kim went through the closet to sort its contents, they found it and debated whether to use it as an ordinary lamp, taking advantage of how it did not need to be plugged in. However, fearful of the consequences of accidentally breaking the glass container, they instead decided to repackage it into a more secure, well-padded plastic tub. (PROSE: Cleaning Day)
