George Wimberley is the assistant to Commissioner Smedley Hopkirk in Buranda.
First appearing in The Serpent Sorceress, his bravery and skill with a rifle were vital in stopping a giant magical serpent. This greatly impressed members of the local Natari tribe, and soon three young ladies came visiting to express their appreciation.
In later stories he is sometimes seen in the company of one of them, Kiana.
Physical appearance
Wimberley is a tall skinny young man with blond hair and glasses. Like the Commissioner he is usually seen wearing safari gear.
