In one universe, Jess was a “hunk” from the same social circles as Jenny Evers and her friend Amber. Amber had her eye on him and intended to seduce him at a raucous party the two attended, but Jess, to Amber's displeasure, spent a lot of time talking with a mysterious goth woman who was actually another incarnation of Jenny Everywhere, come to meet and mentor Amber's Jenny.
