At least in one universe, Deimos was one of the two moons of Mars, alongside Phobos. Its name allegedly meant “Fear”. (COMIC: On Earth)

Behind the scenes

In the real world, the moon Deimos was named after the Greek deity of the same name. His name is more commonly translated as “Dread” or “Horror”, whereas it is Phobos whose name is usually translated as “Fear” (rather than “Flight” as mistakenly claimed by On Earth).
