He was hired by a coalition of multiversal adventurer Jenny Everywhere's enemies to capture her alive. He tracked one incarnation of Jenny down and tried to force her to follow him, but gave up after she proved to be a much better markswoman than he was, shooting his gun out of his hand. (COMIC: Jenny vs. Groff) Bankrupt, Groff retreated to “the Desert Where Poor People Have To Live”, waiting for a big score to put him back on the map. He encountered Little Choy, who gleefully insulted him. COMIC: Untitled
