Midas

Midas was a smartphone app created by one universe's version of Jenny Everywhere. It had the ability to turn people into gold statues. She created it as a backup for the Medusa app in case the first app did not work. After Jenny used the Medusa app on The Puritan Streaker, her rival Olga Desmodica asked Jenny if she was planning to do the same thing to her. Jenny said no and used the Midas app on Olga instead. As with the Medusa app, the process was likely irreversible, meaning that Olga was stuck as a statue forever. (PROSE: There's an App for That)

Behind the scenes

The app was named for Midas, a King from Greek mythology who turned whatever he touched into pure gold.
