Subbi

In one universe, Subbi was an elder of the Bonangi, and, in this capacity, an advisor to the version of Gwenna who, in this world, was the Queen of the Bonangi, and whose father he had known. He was critical of Gwenna's love of gold, reminding her that her father had had no need of such baubles, and knowing that it would bring ruin to the village if their possession of such riches were known; in this, he agreed with Gwenna's friend Jo-Jo the Congo King. This prophecy would come true the very same day, with Ungulla, allied with a white outlaw, raiding the village after taking it by surprise — although thanks to Jo-Jo's quick thinking, the Bonangi managed to turn the battle around and rescue the captured Gwenna.
