The Wiki Adventures of Lord Grallyx was a Jenny Everywhere prose story written by Lupan Evezan for April Fools' Day in 2022. It starred the recurring open-source villain Lord Grallyx in his second major appearance following Evezan's own introduction of him in Jenny Everywhere and the Lord of Hell.

Plot

Trapped in a book, Lord Grallyx realizes that it is April Fools' Day and so “the Rule of Funny [takes] precedence above all else”. Acting quickly, he pulls out a computer to edit the Jenny Everywhere Wiki to record that he has already escaped. Once out of the book, he locates Jenny Everywhere and the two engage in a rapid-fire editing duel as they each try to outdo the other in rewriting the wiki — which in accordance with the rules of humor changes the universes around them. Despite Lord Grallyx editing Jenny Everywhere to be a copyrighted character and himself to be the main character, he eventually realises that he cannot permanently escape the book by this method because the very fourth-wall-breaking standards of April Fools' Day stories he exploited won't allow the villain to permanently win, or indeed, the status quo to be meaningfully altered.

Other

  • In the calendar Lord Grallyx uses, the date is “the Sixth Segment of Abyssmas, Nethervember the 666th”. It is equivalent to April Fools' Day in the human calendar.
  • Grallyx's Wiki description acknowledges him as the “former Lord of the Ratreyfian Underworld”, although the narration also describes him as simply the former “King of Hell”.
  • Leaning hard on the Fourth Wall, Jenny points out that the current story “is an April Fools’ story. April Fools’ stories – are non-canonical”.
  • Grallyx states that he prefers peppercorn pies to blueberry ones.
