One version of Mr Varney was the head of DollarGraveClub, a vampire organisation headed also involving Dracula, Lord Ruthven and Carmilla. His members' sulfurous reputation caused the Interdimensional Pride Council to react negatively when the Man in Grey tried to make DollarGraveClub a sponsor of the Interdimensional Pride Parade in 2022.
