The Demon's Dagger is a chapter in the Kaza’s Mate, Gwenna web comic, a guest story by Paul Hoppe featuring an adventure with The Odds.
Plot
Professor Madison teleports Kaza to New York so he can recover a stolen mystic dagger. The Odds discover it is to appear at a fundraising party so they attend undercover, in civilian clothes. Upon the entrance of Madame Shelley it is revealed she has brought a swarm of vampires, who attack the attendees; a brawl ensues but Shelley's powers overwhelm the mortals. It is revealed that Madame Shelley has captured Hexia, a rival witch from Soho, and intends to use the dagger to cut off her magic! But Madame Shelley's gloating is interrupted by Professor Madison subverting the venue's electronics, disorienting everyone with loud sounds and flashing bright lights. Dennis, the Blue Knight, grabs the dagger while Kaza rescues Hexia. The police are called and the Odds call it a success, the latter then celebrates by partying at their headquarters that night till the next morning. Kaza then shares the news of Lenore conceiving his youngest lovechild to Jung-La due to the events in Three Days From Kokotomo and she congratulates him.
An epilogue page reveals that Madame Shelley got away, no doubt to trouble superheroes another day.
