The Boss

From Jenny Everywhere Wiki

A visitor describing himself as a “Cawneticket-Yon-Key” once visited the court of King Arthur in one universe. His stay was short, as he found himself unable to communicate with the locals. (PROSE: The Interlude of Jenny Everywhere)

Behind the scenes

This is an allusion to Mark Twain's A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court, where a modern American engineer from Connecticut ends up mysteriously flung back in time to Arthurian England and becomes a prominent member of the King's court under the title of “the Boss”. The allusion to him in The Interlude of Jenny Everywhere pokes fun at the literary device that the Boss can communicate with the Old-English-speaking Arthurian characters with minimal issues with no explanation given.
