Spamlodgett was the informal head of the Artifectors who worked in the Laboratory of the Strange and Wonderful House.
When the Head of Housekeeping and a squadron of cleaners made their way into the Laboratory to clean it out by force, Spamblodgett used the Alarum to send a a Housekeeper five minutes back in time, allowing the Artifectors to prepare for Housekeeping's coming by locking the door. This erased the version of the timeline where the Housekeepers entered the Laboratory, including Spamblodgett's sending of the young woman back through time.
