Mungo

From Jenny Everywhere Wiki

In one universe, Mungo was one of the permanent residents of the Koala Bay Bares Naturist Resort. He was an old Aboriginal man with a long white beard.

He had a sarcastic wit and gave those around him the impression that he always knew more than he let on; notably, when Jenny Everywhere first shifted into the middle of the Resort, he implied to her that he had knowledge of other dimensions, although he noted that some of them scared him. He could also play the didgeridoo. (COMIC: Ghost Story)

He tried to explain the concept of a shifter to Zoot, although he was not entirely successful. (COMIC: Incognito)

To help Abúi get home he introduced her to Sven Allestädes; it was from his colorful yurt that Sven shifted out with Abúi and Tash. After Tash and Sven returned, Tash got advice from Mungo when she was frustrated by the other residents of the Resort not believing her tales of inter-dimensional travels and fairies, with Mungo telling her to find the right audience if she needed to get the story off her chest so keenly. A grateful Tash soon told the story to a delighted Chrystel and Zinni. (COMIC: Enchanted)

When Jenny later returned to the Resort, closely followed by Abúi and her friends, Mungo was sitting by the pool, reading a small green book (COMIC: The Nicest Place in the Universe).

Behind the scenes

Mungo was one of the main characters of the webcomics Loxie & Zoot and The Bare Pit. His profile on the official Bare Pit cast list read:

Somewhat eccentric resident of the Koala Bares. Mungo lives in a colourful self-built yurt and grows his own organic 'bush tucker'. He also seems to go by the name "Wirinun" which is an Australian Aboriginal word for wizard or 'medicine-man'. He offers massage, meditation and mystic healing to visitors of the resort. No one can remember ever seeing him wear a single stitch of clothing, even in the colder months. Has an uncanny ability to know what is about to happen before it does!
