The Ghost of Christmas Past, the Ghost of Christmas Present and the Ghost of Christmas Future were three prominent characters in A Christmas Carol, (PROSE: The Time of the Toymaker) with the Ghost of Christmas Past typically appearing as a small, flickering figure reminiscent of a candle-flame.
One dimension-travelling version of the Ghost of Christmas Past was one of the Three Spirits who often enacted repeats of the Christmas Carol scenario in various worlds, and once did so in the Cupid Homeworld with Philatel-426 as the focus. One of Alistair Neezley's tall tales, which he repeated almost every year around the Christmas period, involved him claiming that he had substituted himself to the Ghost of Christmas Past as part of an adventure which saw him save the immortal soul of a sentient polar bear.
