The Department of Technological Advancement was a department of the Crew of the Copper-Colored Cupids which experimented with innovations to the technologies used by the Crew. They were responsible for the creation of the only know independently-intelligent Fog Ship, (PROSE: The Case Against Conspiracy) Pessimist's Fog Ship, (PROSE: The Time of the Toymaker) as part of a collaborative project with the Department of Transportation.
