In one universe, the Captain of the Mars-Earth space-liner aboard which the Magician from Mars first made her way to Earth was a human man with a pointed black beard. When his ship was hit by a meteor, he coordinated his crew's efforts to repair the hull from the outside in space-suit; though keeping a cool façade, he was skeptical of the ship's chances of survival. After the Magician used her powers to instantaneously repair the damage, she convinced the Captain that he and his men had simply had a freak collective hallucination about the accident.
