The Nommo

From Jenny Everywhere Wiki
Revision as of 14:09, 17 October 2021 by Angela (talk | contribs)

The Nommo, also known by the alias of Davar Smith, was a telepathic alien being from the Sirius star system in one universe. He was sent to Earth carrying the Logos of Sirius within his mind, tasked with bringing Enlightenment to mankind. “Davar Smith” existed as an influential artist in several other universes, although it's unclear whether he was secretly the Nommo in all of them.

Description

The Nommo appeared as a naked, muscular humanoid with green skin and dark bluish pincers in place of hands. He had a large “dorsal fin” on his cranium and extending down his neck, and frilled ears. His feet were clawed and webbed. Most strikingly, he had three eyes, his third being the sender and receptor of his telepathy. (COMIC: Say The Word)

Biography

In one universe, after making landfall, the Nommo happened upon Jenny Everywhere, who had recently arrived in this universe herself. After he recognised her as a “multi-dimensional being” thanks to his telepathic abilities, she invited him into her mobile house.

After he explained his mission of bringing enlightenment to Earth in the form of the Logos, she began giving him pointers about how to go about it in a way which wouldn't result in massive backlash or being outright ignored. She helped him craft the persona of a countercultural human artist, “Davar Smith”, and together they planned out a lengthy multi-media campaign. The Nommo was enthusiastic at Jenny's suggestions, although Jenny proposed that they go out for a peanut butter and jelly sandwich before they began anything. (COMIC: Say The Word)

In some universes, Davar Smith existed as a science-fiction novelist, while in others he was primarily a musician. At a picnic party shared by a dozen Jennies, music from the latest Davar Smith album was played, and one Jenny gifted another the latest Davar Smith novel (from a different universe to the album).
