Johann-Octavius Gans, also known as Xailenrath, is an American cartoonist, character designer and logo designer. He lives in the North Seattle area.
Gans is an event regular for the Jenny Everywhere Day website and has also used Jenny Everywhere (in various incarnations) as an incidental guest character in several of his webcomics.
He has designed a singular Jenny look that he uses as his own in his myriad projects, but, often has Jenny cross paths with alternate versions of herself. He also has her meet up with his own trio of chaotic reality-hopping trickster demigods, known collectively as 'The Misfits of Mischief'.
Gans's version of Jenny Everywhere was first conceived and drawn for an early Misfits of Mischief page, and her look has evolved ever since.
His signature Jenny, as of this writing, is a Jenny of Chinese descent with medium sized gauge plugs in her ears of various colors. Her hair is black with a dark brown sheen; short with a pointed semi-cowlick "swoop" in back, reminiscent of Jayna, of the Wonder Twins from Hanna-Barbera's "SuperFriends" cartoon. She has a freckled face and chest, chocolate-brown eyes and curled hairs issuing downward from just above her ears. She can always be seen wearing het trademark air goggles, and a more often than not white scarf with fringe on the ends. She also sports two dark maroon colored "tribal" tattoos that wrap around her upper biceps, and four arrowheads of the same color around her navel, pointing 'North, South, East and West'. This Jenny often has thicker hips and has a tendency to wear shorts and high striped stocking style socks. She also wears a mysterious, somewhat bulky 'wristwatch' looking device on her left wrist. In the last few years, she has taken to carrying an umbrella with her on her jaunts through realities. The umbrella may or may not be special, but, it does seem to have some sort of antenna at it's tip.
