Behind the scenes
The actor Boris Karloff became famous starring in Universal Pictures' Frankenstein, not as the Baron, but as Frankenstein's Monster — hence the irony noticed by Pythagoras. However, Karloff did play Baron Frankenstein on several later occasions.
