Plot

Katherine Jones grows up a bright student in the United Kingdom, excelling both academically and athletically. She struggles to fit in, with neither the “smart girls” nor the “sports girls” groups in her class fully accepting her, but stands up for other bullying victims, demonstrating early moral character. She is one of the few girls from her school to go on to go to University, where she catches the attention of the top-secret Project Five, which gives her the chance to become an actual superhero, giving her super-strength and superhuman durability, as well as a pair of gloves set with “power crystals” that allow her to channel the whole of her powers directly into a punch. She never meets any of the presumable other four creations of the Project. Adopting the alias Kate Five, she goes on to be “snatched up” by the British Ministry of Defence when funding on Project Five is cut, becoming one of the superheroes of Section P.
