“Juliet the 2373rd” was one of the Sisters of Juliet, recursive duplicates of herself created by Juliet-178 of the Crew of the Copper-Colored Cupids in an effort to get out of some work obligations.
After the Department of Discipline sentenced Juliet to a punitive assignment of romanticising a large amount of living beings, she temporarily altered the 1079 Sisters' memories to make each of them believe she was the original Juliet, and spreading out the assignment between them so that each only had to romanticise a small number of targets. The work of finding suitable target in the middle of the desert in the universe to which she'd been sent was, however, still too much for Juliet the 945th, and, like many other Sisters, she decided to create a further duplicate of herself using parts harvested from her Fog Ship (including a spare Gemstone Heart made of glass), creating a new, somewhat more makeshift Juliet. After carrying out their work quota, “Juliet” and “Juliet-II” returned to the Cupid Homeworld where their memories were returned to them and they realised they were really Juliet the 945th and Juliet the 1273rd.
