In some realities, Vampira was an imperious female Vampire residing in a manor.

Description

Physical appearance

Morticia Addams appeared as a tall, pale-skinned woman with long black hair and striking arched eyebrows, wearing a lacy black dress and dark eye-liner. (COMIC: Real Estate-Related Pun)

Biography

A version of Vampira existed in the home universe of the Lich Emperor Junter and his Vampire assistant Ibdis. When the hapless pair found themselves in need of a new apartment, Ibdis visited Vampira's house to see if they could rent a room there, but the two reacted negatively to the prospect of sharing territory when they realised that they were both Vampires, scuppering those hopes. (COMIC: Real Estate-Related Pun)

Behind the scenes

Vampira is the (copyrighted) main character of the cult 1950s TV series The Vampira Show. Created and portrayed by Maila Nurmi, she was one of the earliest known “horror host” characters. Notably, her appearance was inspired by Morticia Addams, who also made an unofficial appearance in Real Estate-Related Pun.

Although Vampira is copyrighted, Maila Nurmi played a very similar Vampire Girl in the 1959 B-movie Plan 9 from Outer Space which is in the public domain.
