Plot
In the aftermath of Zed Hudson having invited a number of friends to a café to introduce the alien girl Neila to them, Jenny Ba Bei and Drew Dane, who were previously unintroduced, have a short conversation. In the background of the first panel can be seen the other characters from the previous page saying their goodbyes and dispersing.
Drew inquired as to whether Jenny was one of Zed's "normal" friends (meaning 'human'), his "special" friends (meaning super-powered) or one of his (emphasized) "SPECIAL" friends. Jenny, taking the lavender-skinned young person's meaning about the first two categories, clarified that she was, indeed possessed of a super-power. Still, she asked after clarification on the third 'Extra-Special' category of 'Special'. Drew, in seeming disgust, pointed over their shoulder at Zed and Marcus Nelson in the background of the panel, apparently having some sort of romantic conversation with one another. Jenny, taking the cue, assured Drew that she and Zed were simply platonic friends. Drew, in a thought bubble, expressed relief for that fact, as they were insanely jealous of the various folks in Zed's life that he was carrying on romantic and/or sexual relations with.
