Lord Nachtos
Lord Nachtos, Destroyer of Worlds was a “tree demon” who resembled a large, floating Christmas tree and was fond of singing Christmas carols, but was, somehow, oblivious to this resemblance or indeed to the ins and outs of Christmas.
Description
Physical appearance
Nachtos appeared as “an enormous being with a body much like an evergreen tree”. His face was a golden, glowing pentagram with a single slitted eye in the middle, and he had two red ribbon-like arms. He was surrounded by an aura of “rippling” light. (PROSE: The Copper-Colored Cupids go Caroling)
Powers & abilities
Nachtos had the ability to travel between worlds, including in the normally-highly-warded Cupid Homeworld. His emergence would begin with the appearance of a huge, swirling vortex, from which he would then emerge. He was known as a “Destroyer of Worlds”, and Lord Thymon was afraid of him. Biography
He was an old friend of Century Smith's. (PROSE: Century Smith and the Time Terror)
The Crew of the Copper-Colored Cupids first met Nachtos in 2019, when he manifested in the Cupid Homeworld itself, frightening Lord Thymon himself into locking himself in the Department of Postal Services' building. He initially voiced his intention to destroy the Homeworld, but, after Celebration-665 asked him if he wanted to join his caroling group, ended up having so much fun singing with the Cupids that he forswore destroying this dimension, and left the Homeworld a friend of the Cupids. Nachtos was also a patron of the Interdimensional Tavern. During the Christmas 2020 celebrations, he was seen chanting an ancient incarnation to magically assist the Drink-Mixer in wrapping up some gifts. (PROSE: The Time of the Toymaker)
He was also a client of the Interdimensional Bank. He happened to be waiting in line when Century Smith, Briar and Jenny Nowhere visited the Bank to retrieve her diary. Smith and Nachtos took some time to catch up as they waited for their turns, though Nachtos was unable to help with Briar's vampire predicament. (PROSE: Century Smith and the Time Terror)
Unable to make it to the Crew of the Copper-Colored Cupids' Christmas party in 2021, Century Smith and Briar instead sent Nachtos to the Homeworld, where Celebration-665 and his group of amateur carolers tried to “appease” him with their best performance. Smith had told him about the Mecharons, and Nachtos was quite amused at the thought of beings who, like him, were coincidentally holiday-themed, but were not aware of it. (PROSE: The Winter Quests)
