In an unidentified continuity prior to the collapse of the Multiverse, Butterfly was a superhero member of the League of Liberation alongside Jenny Everywhere, Glendalf, the Magician from Mars, Ace Harlem, Trashman and Madam Fatal. The League was part of the Sixth International and dedicated to opposing the Sixth Column, a cult which worshipped Stardust the Super-Wizard. (PROSE: The Hermetic Garbage of Jenny Everywhere)

Behind the scenes

Butterfly was the first black American comic-book superheroine, appearing in Issues 1 and 2 of the 1970s comic book Hell-Rider. Her civilian name was Marian Michaels.
