The Bartender was the owner and operator of the Red Lion Inn, a notorious interdimensional inn.

Personality
She did not ask for upfront payment, but rather, that anyone who stayed at her Inn agreed to the fact that they now owed her a favour to be called at an arbitrary point in their later lives. Biography
In the Collapsed Cosmos
The Bartender and her Red Lion Inn survived the temporary breaking down of the Multiverse into a Collapsed Cosmos. When Jenny Everywhere frantically took refuge into the Inn with Glendalf through the gateway in Faerie as they fled from the Wild Hunt, the Bartender announced her presence to Jenny by telling a bad joke about Achilles (who, awkwardly enough, was himself in the room, though he was busy arm-wrestling with Gilgamesh).
