In one universe, Jenny Everywhere: Secret Origins was a comic book purporting to depict the origin story of the Shifter, Jenny Everywhere.
According to the comic, Jenny was originally born in a universe on the Edge of the Multiverse, which was home to the "oldest and most advanced parallel Earth". When Jenny Everywhere's father, a scientist, discovered evidence that their universe was about to be destroyed by a sentient black hole from another universe, he and his wife created the Pod, a small machine able to withstand the destruction of the universe, in which they placed their baby girl (along with her father's goggles and her mother's scarf). Due to an unintended side-effect, the machine sent Jenny everywhere at once, duplicating her to infinity.
Retro once read through the comic while hanging out with an incarnation of the real Jenny, who was reading a different comic. When asked if the tale had really happened, she shrugged and replied: "Eh, kinda". (COMIC: The Secret Origin of Jenny Everywhere) One account showed that Jenny's original homeworld had not in fact been destroyed shortly after her birth, as she was able to visit her childhood home "centuries" after the last time she had done so, (PROSE: Memories of Nowhere) and in another account, Jenny had stated that while her scarf was indeed passed down from her mother, this was also the case with her goggles, rather than them being a keepsake from her father.
