In Reality Z-25 31-H, Dirk was Gwen Davis's unloved fiancé before she moved to the Naked Jungle.
Shortly after she did so, he and her father went to the Jungle to try and force Gwen to return to “civilisation” and go through with their scheduled marriage, despite Gwen's insistence that she was already married to Kaza as the “law of the Jungle” reckoned such things, and that Dirk didn't actually care about her, or indeed Mr Davis, only having eyes for his company.
