The Beastmaster was a revenant active in the 38167th Universe, who put his undeath to use taming various supernatural monsters and forcing them to do his villainous bidding. He had no shifting abilities himself, but, on at least one occasion, worked with Doctor Laura Drake who gave him a sophisticated shift-gun.
Description
Physical appearance
The Beastmaster appeared as an old man with pale, greenish skin, a long white beard and mustache, and a missing eye which he covered with an eye-patch. His outfit resembled stereotypical Viking grab, with a horned helmet, chainmail, boots, and a long, moss-green, furry cape. (COMIC: Jenny Everywhere and the Master of Monsters)
Personality
The Beastmaster was highly egotistical. He jumped very quickly to enjoying his “victory” even before a battle was won. His domineering, dismissive attitude about the monsters under his control disguised a deep-seated insecurity about his inability to get them to like or respect him. (COMIC: Jenny Everywhere and the Master of Monsters)
Powers & abilities
As a revenant, the Beastmaster was largely indestructible. Laura Drake suggested that this was the one thing which had allowed him to become such an efficient monster-tamer, and, indeed, that he hadn't been one in his prior life. He confessed to having no innate shifting abilities, using shift-guns entrusted to him by Laura to travel between universes. (COMIC: Jenny Everywhere and the Master of Monsters)
Biography
Meeting Jenny Everywhere
The Beastmaster's first encounter with Jenny Everywhere was when Laura Drake hired him to go make trouble for her. After meeting with him in her office in New Flaversham, she entrusted him with an advanced model of shift-gun enabling him to travel across the Multiverse and collect more monsters than ever, setting them up as traps in multiple worlds. His opening gambit was to sick a Marsh-Maiden on Jenny in the Jungles of Hooloo where she'd been taking a walk. However, Jenny made friends with the Marsh-Maiden, who did not attack her, forcing the Beastmaster to reveal himself.
Using the shift-gun, he transported himself and Jenny to another world and tried to sic a Dragon on the Shifter, but she befriended it too. Finally he took them to the 12682621st Universe where a Sphinx in his service, Paisi Psusennes, was waiting. However, Jenny played on the Beastmaster's insecurity about whether “his” beasts actually liked him, then manipulated Paisi into breaking off her monster-and-master relationship with the Beastmaster, re-assessing him as a rival monster and chasing him into the distance. After destroying the shift-gun, Jenny shifted on her own power to Laura's building and confronted her about what she'd done, leaving the Beastmaster stranded.
