Shift-guns were raygun-like devices invented by one universe's Laura Drake with the help of Jenny Everywhere prior to their falling out.

The initial prototypes were very dangerous, as there was no good way to aim and a user risked ending up in the deadly void of space. However, Laura later improved the shift-guns' accuracy and began giving them out to people she hired to act as enemies to Jenny Everywhere.
