In 2021, Prime Universe time, “the Great Goddess Cybele, Multiversal Overseer of All Cybernetic Life” declared s“ome kind of vacancy” in the position of Supreme Cyborg. This led various cyborg species from across the Multiverse to come to blows over the title. (PROSE: The Winter Quests)
Behind the scenes
The earlier The Crew of the Copper-Colored Cupids story The Fall of the Consistency Palatium introduced the idea that the Prime Universe's version of the ancient nature goddess Cybele had, in modern times, “taken advantage of a fortuitous, if coincidental, semantic connection” to find a new position for herself as a patron of cyborgs.
