Although it was a genuinely powerful oracle, its usefulness was limited, as it was programmed to only speak in terms so vague and poetic as to be more or less opaque. (PROSE: The Time of the Toymaker) Tarsa, however, could order it to speak plainly to her. She used the Fortune Teller to check on Pessimist-242 and Larrikin-1029's progress through her Labyrinth.
