The Legion of Light were a group of self-proclaimed heroes from Reality Z-25 31-H. Moralising bigots, they dressed in outfits reminiscent of “knights in shining armour“ and tried to “liberate” strippers and other such people whose lifestyles the Legion deemed “immoral” from their “sinful ways”. Their leader wielded a Magic Sword which could be used to open portals to other realities and summon familiars, such as the demon Red Vicious; the Legion were strangely oblivious to the patently villainous nature of this modus operandi.
Some time after Armstrong Fatbuckle's resurrection by the Devil as a living skeleton, the Legion attacked a group of strippers of whom he had made himself a friend and protector. This led them to summon Red Vicious, only for Armstrong to be more efficient at fighting back than they'd expected. Also unexpected to the Legion was the girls not having the slightest interest in being “rescued” and taking the skeleton's side in the fight.
Although Armstrong and the girls had already managed to mostly subdue the Legion, they were then finished off by Captain Evening and friends, who had detected the transdimensional portal used to summon Red Vicious and had come on the suspicion that Doctor Brain was responsible in a repeat of his “Merv the Griffin” scheme. They tied up the Legion and delivered them to the authority, though not before the Captain gave them a patronising if well-meaning speech about how it was they who needed to be “rescued” from their own poisonous beliefs.
