Zed Vs. The Usual was a one-page comic story by Johann-Octavius Gans, the second installment of the Zed Vs. The World. It introduced the series' version of preexisting character Zed Hudson, as well as his backstory.
Contents
Plot
Zed Hudson stumbles into Ophelia the Barista's coffee shop, barely standing, and claiming that his superpowers are fading and quickly ingesting some caffeine is his last chance. Unimpressed, Ophelia serves him his cup and asks him why he can't just ask for “the usual” like everyone else, with Zed cheerfully dropping the act to tell her that “the coffee deserves better” than “normality”.
