The Hares In Charge of All Vegetation, who had large, glowing red eyes, were apparently well-known within the Strange and Wonderful House.

They were meeting in the sideways room when Elshanor passed through on her way out of the Library. She curtsied apologetically to them, and carefully avoided using their bespoke, rabbit-hole-shaped exit. (PROSE: Our Strange and Wonderful House: Heebie Jeebies)

When he entered the Gardens, one man saw a silent white shape blurring past him at high speed, and was told by his guide that certain “parkour enthusiasts” liked to take a shortcut through the Gardens to get to the Warrens, which they loved due to “all the tight spaces” on offer there. (PROSE: Our Strange and Wonderful House: Into the Gardens (Part 2))
