Ecord, also spelled Eccord or Eckord, was a fantasy world. It exerted a narrative gravity on anyone within it, nudging them to act out somewhat clichéd sword-and-sorcery adventures and even altering their words; the experience of using language within Ecord was best translated via typo-ridden, somewhat incoherent writing full of malapropisms.

Jenny Everywhere once accidentally found herself in Ecord while aiming for another universe entirely. The narrative gravity of the world transformed her outfit into the revealing leather bikini of a clichéd “barbarian heroine” and put her into the path of the warrior Tyse, with her joining his quest to fight a coven of evil wizards who worshipped the eldritch deity Argon. Jenny assailed the Temple of Argon with him and, after they defeated the evil priests and their giant rats, ended up slaying a monstrosity kept in a deep pit in the centre of the Temple, known as the Spawn of Fashan. As it did, she spontaneously shifted back home.

During this adventure, Jenny did not encounter any version of herself native to Ecord, and Tyse was unfamiliar with the names of “Jenny Everywhere” or “the Shifter”. However, she did overhear him swearing by “Lorad-rak”. (PROSE: Jenny Everywhere and the Eye of Argon)

Behind the scenes

Ecord is the setting of the infamously “bad” fantasy novella The Eye of Argon, which which PROSE: Jenny Everywhere and the Eye of Argon was an unlicensed, parodical crossover.
