Several incarnations of my Jenny Everywhere have been skilled at chess.
One Jenny once played against the incarnation of Death for her life, and won – all while speaking Swedish, as in The Seventh Seal. (VIDEO: Mitigating Circumstances) Another Jenny noted that she had won chess games with Death on several occasions; the various incarnations of Death involved tended to be “sore losers”. (PROSE: Psychopomp)
Another bested the demon Lord Grallyx, in a world where he was a Chess Grandmaster. (PROSE: Jenny Everywhere and the Lord of Hell)
Jenny would also sometimes play chess against herself — literally — for less dire stakes, on occasions when different incarnations of her met up. For example, at the “after-party” following a large gathering of Jennies to spook the sandy-haired man, the priest Jenny played a game of chess for fun with a Jenny in 1970s dress. (PROSE: Paying it Forward)
