In the Collapsed Cosmos, the Null-Train was a means of getting around the End of Time, most importantly the Redoubt of the Archons.
The Train changed appearance periodically; it once appeared as “an art-deco locomotive which would be elegant except for the rivet-covered dull green of its skin”. It halted with a “ghostly screech” and would seem empty but for themselves to any passengers who boarded it.
