Shift-guns, or Shift-Guns, were raygun-like devices invented by one universe's Laura Drake with the help of Jenny Everywhere prior to their falling out.
Shift-guns replicated Jenny's natural ability to shift, sending their target and also the person holding them to another dimension when they were fired. The initial prototypes were very dangerous, as there was no good way to aim and a user risked ending up in the deadly void of space. However, Laura later improved the shift-guns' accuracy and began giving them out to people she hired to act as enemies to Jenny Everywhere. The first of them was the Beastmaster, who used the gun to place monsters at his command in several strategic locations in three different universes then take himself and Jenny from one to the next. After she beat him, Jenny destroyed the shift-gun by stomping on it. (COMIC: Jenny Everywhere and the Master of Monsters)
Laura didn't have a Shift-Gun on her person when she was abducted to Nowhere Island by Jenny Nowhere, with Nowhere having instead “intercepted her transport beam”. As a result, she had to prevail on Jenny Everywhere to return home. (PROSE: Family Business)
