However, when he walked back into the apartment after this victory, he found that the Pope had escaped. Ibdis lamely tried to pretend that he had used mysterious “holy powers” to do so, although in actual fact Ibdis had simply absent-mindedly let the door of the apartment open, allowing the Pope to calmly wander off. Despite its lack of consequences, Junter's attempt to kidnap the Pope was publicly reported, and Junter was later recognised while on vacation as “that guy who kidnapped the Pope”. (COMIC: A Letter From Beyond)
