Bras de Fer was a story written by Phil Aubert de Molay, drawn and colored by Amaury Esteban. This may be the only Jenny Everywhere story in French with no English translation (On the Couch is known to have had an English version although it’s not currently found on the web).

Plot

Sometime in the 1930s, in Germany, Johan Trollmann and Jenny were boxers.

But Johan was also a Tsigane, a Gypsy, which was politically inconvenient and hazardous at that place and time. His mobility and skill let him win a championship match, to the displeasure of Nazis. Ordered not to dodge so much lest he be banned from the sport, in his next match he stood immobile and allowed himself to be pummeled, and was banned anyway. Johan was then drafted and sent to the eastern front, and then to a concentration camp, from which he did not return.

Years later, after the war, Jenny told the story to later generations.

Worldbuilding

Johan Trollman was a real person and the story shown in the comic is substantially what really happened.
