Alan was a non-predatory vampire from a reality where this was commonplace. He ended up marrying an incarnation of Jenny who'd left her old life behind to “find herself”, coming to live with her as the Infinity Apartment. He was a struggling artist.

Description

Physical appearance

Alan appeared as a handsome pale-skinned man with curly dark-red hair, yellow eyes, prominent canines, and strong eyebrows. When he wished, he could summon dark bat-like wings onto his back, which glowed with a faint red aura. He usually wore simple clothing, such as a gray, blue or black T-shirt, and dark gray trousers. (COMIC: Infinity Apartment)

Personality

Alan, like many would-be artists, was plagued with self-doubt and self-loathing, often feeling that he was not achieving what he wanted with his art and being tempted to quit altogether.

He was a neat freak and claimed to have been his whole life, before and after he was turned. (COMIC: Infinity Apartment)

Powers & abilities

As a vampire, Alan could summon two great black bat-wings onto his back, though there was no visible sign of them when he did not wish for them to be there. It is unclear if he had the ability to actually use them to fly. Unlike many vampires from other universes, Alan seemed to be perfectly capable of going about in the sunlight. Biography

Early life

Although ShatterScreen once referred to him as “Hell-spawn” before they were properly introduced, Alan made comments suggesting he used to be human and had been turned into a vampire as an adult. He claimed to have been a neat freak all his life, even before his turning. He lived in a reality where vampires were accepted into society, with an ethical sunthetic substitute for human blood being mass-produced and widely sold in cans. (COMIC: Infinity Apartment)

Meeting Jenny

Quinn turns into a duplicate of an undressed Alan in front of Jenny, having drawn the image from her own mind. (COMIC: Infinity Apartment)

At some point during the six months Jenny Everywhere spent away from the Infinity Apartment, she met Alan. The two fell in love and got married, in the absence of Jenny's friends from the Apartment. At some point around this period, Alan also began a webcomic, called Ego World, for which he had high hopes.

She returned alone to the Apartment to announce the news to them, with Alan following her a little later, as he had a few things to take care of before moving in. During this period, Jenny began teling the Apartment flatmates about Alan, with shapeshifter Quinn even briefly ending up turning into a copy of him due to an image in Jenny's subconscious. However, she did not immediately tell them that Alan was a vampire. (COMIC: Infinity Apartment)

At the Infinity Apartment

Eventually, the real Alan arrived at the Infinity Apartment. Jenny had failed to tell ShatterScreen about Alan's vampiric nature in time, however, leading to ShatterScreen attacking him on-sight when he arrived, forcing Jenny to punch him to the ground to protect her husband. With the misunderstandings cleared up, the two got to getting settled, with Alan meticulously tidying everything in their room, much to Jenny's amusement given that their conjugal activities the very same night ended up untidying everything all over again.

Now settled in their new home, Jenny and Alan took a walk in a city in an unidentified universe, where Jenny became set on buying a strange pet she spotted in a shop window, despite Alan's best efforts to dissuade his wife by pointing out that she had no idea what the creature even was, let alone how to take care of it.

Alan grew frustrated with how Ego World was going, to the point of loudly swearing at his computer. When Jenny came over to ask what was wrong, he explained that he wasn't managing to say any of the numerous things he wanted to say in the comic, and was getting discouraged. He suggested that he might decide to delete everything he'd created so far and start over, but Jenny tried to advise him otherwise. (COMIC: Infinity Apartment)

Behind the scenes

In Benj Christensen's later The Jenny Everywhere Chronicles, one of the Jenny Everywheres featured had an off-screen boyfriend by the name of Alan, although too little is revealed about him to establish him explicitly as a parallel counterpart of Infinity Apartment's Alan, with the fact that they are their respective Jennies' love interests remaining the only known similarity between the two Alans besides the name.
