They were experts at temporal and dimensional theory, and, having realised what had gone wrong with the cosmos, sought to restore the Multiverse through their own means. The version of Jenny Everywhere's mother, Amelia Midnight, in the Collapsed Cosmos had become an Archon of the Redoubt, and thereby achieved “a kind of respectability”, after retiring from her career as the captain of the Zephyrus.
