Marcus Nelson was a college student and friend of Universe Gemini's Zed Hudson, who had a minor crush on him. Although this attraction was faintly reciprocated, Marcus was not completely used to the level of weirdness that Zed's life as a part-time superhero seemed to generate — the level of which didn't clearly dawn on Marcus until he was introduced to Zed's friend, the "space-nymph" known as Neila.

Description

Physical appearances

Marcus was an early twenty-something, tall and slim black man with short-ish wavy hair that culminated in a “widow's peak” on his forehead and light brown, almost golden-looking eyes. His jaw was square and clean shaven. He was seen sporting a black turtleneck sweater under a grey jacket with light grey lapels, (COMIC: Zed Vs. The Limitations)a tan hoodie over a grey T-shirt bearing the face off the fictional mascot “Mallow-Cat” with a black backpack on his back, (COMIC: Zed Vs. Attraction) and a blue long-sleeved button-up shirt with light blue collars and cuffs and that same black backpack. (COMIC: Zed Vs. Interesting Times, Zed Vs. The Introductions)

Personality

Marcus, for the most part seemed to be rather mellow, except when it came to dealing with the “super” side of his friend Zed's life. He remained a bit apprehensive about the existence of aliens, or at least by Neila the Space-Nymph, and appeared uncomfortable sitting in a coffeeshop full of Zed's other superpowered friends. (COMIC: Zed Vs. Interesting Times)

Biography

Zed Hudson hung out with Marcus for a while on the morning when he was stalked through the city by his shapeshifting brother Presto who was trying to practice his stealth abilities. (COMIC: Zed Vs. The Limitations)

Later, Zed greeted Marcus in a flirty manner which demonstrated to his friend Jenny Everywhere that, far from having the narrow “type” she had assumed based on seeing him flirting with several similar-looking women, he was in fact bisexual. He and Marcus had apparently set a pizza-date the next Thursday, which given this tone may in fact have been an actual date of sorts. (COMIC: Zed Vs. Attraction)

His subsequent introduction by Zed to his alien friend Neila helped the reality of Zed's extraordinary life sink in. (COMIC: Zed Vs. Interesting Times)
