The Misterions were an alien race who existed in Jenny Cornelius's universe, communicating in a voice that sounded as though it had entirely too many electronic filters layered on top of it. A Misterion representative once phoned Jenny's apartment, trying to warn her that they were about to launch some new diabolical scheme, but Jenny was taking a shower, and it was instead Laura Drake who picked up. After she told them that Jenny “couldn't come to the phone right now”, the Misterions hung up, promising to call again at another time. (PROSE: A Morning In)
Behind the scenes
The Misterions are an obvious stand-in for the Mysterons of Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons fame. On the Jenny Everywhere Discord, Scott Sanford noted that with Laura having heard the name on the phone, spoken by a voice laden with filters, the copyright-dodging spelling may simply reflect what Laura heard, and not a genuine difference in the aliens' name between the “primary” universe and Jenny's native one.
