Giants” was a catch-all terms for often highly dissimilar species of somewhat magical humanoids who had a human-like appearance, but were incredibly tall compared to normal humans.

The People of the Forest in the Prime Universe had legends according to which the Giants dug the seas and oceans, separating the previously unbroken Forest that had covered the entire Earth. (PROSE: The Winter Quests)
