In one universe, Val Bonfiglio and her husband Herb were two of the permanent residents of the Koala Bay Bares Naturist Resort. They were both of Polynesian descent, though Val was slightly darker-skinned than Herb.
When Jenny Everywhere first spent some time at the Resort, Val quickly befriended her, with the two soon being on a first-name basis (with Val calling Jenny “Jen”) and enjoying a game of billiards together.
