In Reality Z-25 31-H, while trying to make up an excuse for her nudity to Smedley Hopkirk, Nula claimed that “former First Lady Laura Bush”, having been “abducted by aliens years ago”, was now “preparing to return” — having apparently taken command of the aliens' flying saucer. She had then allegedly abducted Nula out of a river and stolen her bathing suit, leaving her to be naked when she next ran into Smedley. In actuality of course, as she quickly admitted, she had simply been skinny-dipping in the river when the then-unfolding crisis began, and the tale about Mrs Bush was a complete fabrication. (COMIC: Nula! Naked and Alone!)

Behind the scenes

The April Fools' Day bonus page of Nula! Naked and Alone!, with its narrative of Laura Bush having been abducted by aliens “years ago”, is a reference to a similarly off-the-wall two-page comic from unrelated webcomic Four More Years!!!, released on November 13th, 2004, where aliens from the Planet Zorog made first contact with the United States of America, only for Dick Cheney to strike a deal with them for advanced technology in exchange for the abduction of the First Lady (without constuling with Bush first). Given that Nula's story is a random fabrication, this does not necessarily mean that Four More Years!!! should be taken as sharing a universe with Kaza's Mate, Gwenna.
